(Photo: The Enquirer/Kareem Elgazzar)Angel Hernandez, the Major League Baseball umpire who on Monday filed a lawsuit against baseball commissioner Rob Manfred and the league alleging racial discrimination in baseball's promotion and post-season assignment policies, will work at first base on the umpiring crew at the 88th All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 11 in Miami, according to an announcement Thursday from Major League Baseball. The Enquirer's James Pilcher first reported Hernandez's lawsuit, which stated that the Cuban-born umpire has been passed over several times for a chance to work the World Series despite high marks on evaluations.
